How to Use Windows 11 Screen Recorder with Audio

Hello UWinPC users, The All Screen Recorder app allows you to capture videos of your screen activity in Windows 11 easily. This can be useful for creating tutorials, recording gameplay videos, performing videos, etc.

To open the Screen Recorder app, first, open the Start menu and search for “Screen Recorder“. Click the “Screen Recorder” app icon that appears in the search results. Alternatively, you can press ”Windows + G” on your keyboard to open the Xbox Game Bar widget and then click the “Screen Recorder” icon there. If you want, you can also take a Windows 11 screen recorder and screenshot by going to ‘prtScr‘.

When you open the Screen Recorder app for the first time, you’ll see a simple interface with “Start Recording” and “Settings” buttons. As the name suggests, clicking Start Recording will begin capturing your screen to video, while the settings allow customizing options for the recording.

Here are the steps to use the built-in screen recorder in Windows 11:

1. First of all, you can use the screen record by using the shortcuts given below:

  • Windows + Alt + R”: Starts recording.
If you record the screen through this shortcut, it starts directly.

2. To stop recording, click the Screen Recorder notification “Stop recording” by clicking on the taskbar or pressing ”Windows + Alt + R” on your keyboard.

3. If you want to record manually or select screen then you have to use the ”Windows + Shift + R” shortcut. As soon as you use the shortcut, it will ask you to select a screen. Then it will record the screen you have selected in this way.

4. In the Screen Recorder app window, click the “Start Recording” button. This will start recording your screen. You can mute or unmute the microphone and system.

5. To stop recording, you’ll need to click “Stop Recording” within the Screen Recorder notification while the timer is running on the top menu.
6. Once you stop recording, the video of your screen recording will be saved to Videos > Captures in File Explorer. You can access it from there.

7. Before starting the next screen recording, you can click on the “Settings” icon in the Screen Recorder app to change settings like video quality, recorded audio sources, mouse cursor preferences, etc.
