Many updates of Microsoft Edge have come, including version 128. Microsoft released this new Edge browser update on 29 August for all Windows testing users. You will see its stable version until 19 September 2024.
Many new updates of Windows 11, KB5041587, and the new build KB5041881, have been released. New changes and features are seen in all these builds. Next, we will learn about the features of the new Edge.

In this new version of Edge browser, the minimum supported macOS version has been increased to macOS 11. Also, users using older versions will not get updates. Their focus will be on new features and security.
With this update, the support of crypto wallets available till now will also be removed. In which you could keep your cryptocurrency. It is being removed to improve the experience.
In this update of the Edge browser, you will see the sidebar. In which it is being removed by default due to not being used by users. Users can still enable the sidebar in the settings menu.
Apart from this, Microsoft has released updates related to URL patterns. There are many URL patterns like ImagesAllowedForUrls, ImagesBlockedForUrls, InsecureContentAllowedForUrls, PopupsAllowedForUrls, and PopupsBlockedForUrls. You can use wildcard (*) in these policies.
Apart from this, Microsoft is also removing CryptoWalletEnabled and EnhanceSecurityModeOptOutUXEnabled due to the removal of the crypto wallet from this Edge version 129.0.2792.12. Which used to give us the convenience of using a crypto wallet.
The reason for ending the support of crypto wallet in this Edge browser update is to increase performance and security.
