Hello UWinPC users, Microsoft has introduced some new features for its trusty old Notepad application on Windows 11 which is a long-awaited feature for Windows users. Which features a spell checker and autocorrect functionality. 

This update currently has Notepad version 11.2402.18.0. It has just been released to Windows Insiders in the Canary and Dev channels on Windows 11. This update will be of great help to a writer. Because Notepad has spell-checking capabilities. Microsoft has released MSN features for Windows 10, and new features for the old PDF reader.

After this update, it will now highlight misspelled words on Notepad by underlining them in red. This will make it easier to identify and correct mistakes while you type. Apart from this, in another update, Microsoft has introduced an auto-correction feature that will immediately correct common typing errors. Which will save you from the trouble of fixing them manually.

Misspelled words will automatically appear underlined in red. You can then click and use the keyboard shortcut “Shift + F10” to see suggested spellings. By selecting the suggestion shown in the list, the word will be immediately updated with the correct spelling.

One important useful feature is the ability to ignore words in a single document or add them to the dictionary. This will make it easier to ensure that future wording mistakes will not be marked. You can easily use vocabulary that cannot be detected by the spell checker.

That is, Notepad has a spell checker as well as support for multiple languages. So that it will be good for those users. Those who face problems of different languages. By default, this spell-checking feature will work in certain file types. Like text files. But if in long files like usually it will be closed to other files related to coding. But if users want, they will be able to temporarily turn it on or off for specific files by going into the Notepad app settings. Microsoft tries to organize the Settings page to make it easier to find and properly adjust various Notepad app settings to further improve the user experience.

Apart from spellchecker and autocorrect, Microsoft is also exploring other AI-powered features for Notepad. One such feature is the “Explain with CoPilot” option.

However, Microsoft has released an update to add spellchecker and autocorrect to Notepad on Windows 11. Thereby, a user who brings this essential text editor at par with modern writing tools.
