MSN Features Will Now Appear on the Windows 10 Lock Screen
Hello Uwinpc users, Microsoft is introducing a new feature that brings MSN content to the Windows 10 lock screen. While Windows 10 was initially expected to take a backseat after the release of Windows 11. it seems that Microsoft is still making efforts to enhance its previous user experience.
In this new build 19045.4235 of Windows 10 we find Microsoft adding MSN-powered cards or widgets to the lock screen. These cards will appear at the bottom of the lock screen, just below the date and time display. This update will be released to all Windows 10 users in the last week of March. Microsoft has made some major changes to Windows 11 which includes a PDF reader.
The second card on this lock screen will be for those interested in the stock market. It will consist of a series of slides. Each of these will display whether the market is trending positively or negatively. As soon as you click on this card, the MSN website will open in Microsoft Edge, which will provide more detailed information about the stock market.
This third card will give location-based information and show the traffic conditions in your area. In this, a small map will appear on the lock screen like a thumbnail. You can click this card to open the Maps application or get more detailed traffic updates.
These types of cards have a useful look that will help provide information viewable at a quick glance. Some users may question whether the Windows 10 lock screen really needs these widgets or not. After all, such cards or widgets are commonly found on mobile devices, where information is delivered quickly.
If you want to use these cards, we have provided the ability to easily turn these lock screen cards on or off. You can easily access the settings by going to Settings > Personalization > Lock Screen. Where you will see control over everything visible on the lock screen.
