Windows 10 New Patch KB5037849 Features

One notable improvement removes a bizarre issue. Where some screen-sharing apps are used to show a hidden window. Which had a blank title bar and zero content area. Which resulted in a confusing visual glitch.

Additionally, the update fixes an issue that prevented the share button on USB controllers from working properly with the Game Bar. Also, a new patch KB5037853 for Windows 11 has been released.

But that’s not all – the update introduces several other enhancements. It fixes an authentication issue. Which prevented the device from recognizing another Microsoft Entra ID account after installing the previous Windows update from November 2023.

For Server Jockey, the patch addresses an issue. This caused the Get-LocalGroupMember cmdlet to get upset when dealing with local groups containing domain members when the server is removed from its domain dig.

Code crafters will be delighted to have a fix for the issue that froze Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) apps in their tracks. Also, the update eliminates a troublesome scenario in which IPP-over-USB printers were tagged as “not available” in the Control Panel even after being granted boot.

Moving further, the patch tackles a potential glitch of the TWAIN driver going AWOL when called in a virtual environment.

To keep pace with the ever-changing mobile landscape, the update also refreshes Country and Operator Settings Asset (COSA) profiles for certain mobile operators, ensuring optimal connectivity and performance.

Last but not least, an Access Denied exception has been removed when attempting to shut down or restart the system using the Unified Write Filter (UWF) Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) API call.
