Most of the users using Windows 11 currently get to see both the new Outlook and the old version of Outlook. But now you see a redirect. That is, whenever you open the calendar app. Then you will find yourself on the new Outlook.

Moving forward in this direction, according to a report, Microsoft will release its new Outlook app for all business users next month. You will start seeing this feature from August 1, 2024.

We got to see the first look at this new Outlook version in 2022. But by the end of next year 2023, it started appearing on all stable versions of Windows 11 OS.

Microsoft has also released a complete roadmap to roll out the new version by the end of this year 2024. After this, support for the old version of Outlook will also end.

The Old Outlook App Disappears after the KB5040442 Update

The new Windows 11 update KB5040442 and other updates coming soon will force the new Outlook to open. That is, whenever you search for Outlook, you will see the new Outlook on this version.

To open the old classic version of Outlook, you have to go to the new Outlook and from there go to ‘Help’. On clicking there, you have to select ‘Go Tool Classic Outlook’. Then the old Outlook opens. Then it asks you to log in by entering your ID.

On the new Outlook, you also get support for email, calendar, to-do lists as well as other office apps. Microsoft will not force much for this new Outlook. Because the new Outlook will gradually start removing the old Outlook as per the schedule.

Microsoft’s focus is to provide all the features in one place through this new Outlook. They have been somewhat successful in this. But it needs many improvements. Because its user experience is seen to be bad.

UwinPC released a report on the new Outlook from its official thread social media. Most of the users say that they are also demanding its offline version along with many features. Apart from this, users do not like many things like printing a queue and ads in their inbox.

In this, some users are ready to forward themselves to use this new Outlook. Because due to having more than one app in the PC of the users, their PC’s system-configured RAM is used more. But now the user will get rid of this.

Users are facing problems in this new Outlook of Microsoft. For that, Microsoft is also ready to help through feedback.

We are expected to get support for the old Outlook of Windows 11 for the next 5 years. Because it takes a lot of time for any new features to be rolled out.
